NOESIS Big Data in Transport Library

NOESIS project is building and maintaining a collection of Big Data use cases in the field of transport and logistics – the so called Big Data in Transport Library (BDTL). The Library constitutes a reference point as for the first time Transport Challenges are associated with Big Datasets, Big Data applications and the potential value anticipated. It is the first organized database of “Transport Use Cases – Big Data technologies / applications – Value generated”.

NOESIS Decision Support Tool

The NOESIS Decision Support Tool is using machine learning techniques to predict the potential value of Big Data investments in Transport. The prediction algorithms are based on a sample of over 100 Big Data in Transport use cases that the NOESIS consortium analysed. To use the Tool you input information on "Transport mode", "Transport sector", "Type of data", "Sample size", "Operational costs", "Investment costs", "Transport challenges", and you get as output the potential value of your investement. The Tool can be used for pre-screening when considering Big Data in Transport investments and solutions.. Click here to experiment with the Decision Support Tool.
Big Data in Transport Working Group

The “Big Data in Transport” Working Group (in brief NOESIS WG) is a group of individuals (under the umbrella of the NOESIS project) that are interested - from a scientific and practical point of view - on the topics that were addressed by the NOESIS project throughout its whole duration.
It will be formed in an informal way, as a network of individuals, after the NOESIS project’s closure and will initially consist of persons that have been actively involved in all the phases of NOESIS.
